One person dead after SUV collides with semi-truck on 610 Fwy

HOUSTON, TX – A collision involving a semi-truck and an SUV in southeast Houston this afternoon led to the death of one person, according to KHOU.
The accident happened at about 1 p.m. near the Ship Channel Bridge on the 610 E Freeway, in the Harrisburg neighborhood area.
The driver of the SUV was trapped within the wreckage for a time.
One of the drivers died as a result of the crash, though it is unclear at this time which of the drivers that might have been.
Authorities did not release the identity of the victim or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
