SPRING, TX – One person was killed and two teens were seriously injured in a wreck in front of a high school in Spring on Sunday afternoon, FOX 26 Houston reports.
An unidentified 16-year-old girl was heading southbound on Ella Boulevard, in front of Westfield High School, in a Chevrolet Equinox around 2:45 p.m. At the same time, the 30-year-old driver, with her 15-year-old daughter as a passenger, was heading northbound in a Kia Optima.
The driver of the Kia swerved out of the way to avoid a Chevrolet truck that was backing out of a nearby subdivision but lost control of her vehicle. She then crossed over into the center lane and hit the Chevrolet Equinox.
The 16-year-old girl driving the Equinox was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the Kia died at the scene while her 15-year-old daughter was taken to the hospital via LifeFlight.
