One killed in two-vehicle wreck on Cypresswood Dr near Spring

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person died Monday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision at an intersection near southwest Spring, reports FOX26 Houston.
The fatal accident happened at the corner of Champion Forest Drive and Cypresswood Drive, near Houston Texas Temple.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the crash, but the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 said one of the vehicles collided with a tree.
EMS personnel pronounced one driver deceased at the scene.
All westbound lanes of Cypresswood Drive were blocked to traffic during the emergency response. Motorists were urged to detour around the scene.
At this time, authorities have not released further updates.
