One killed in solo-car wreck on Sam Houston Pkwy E near SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — One person died Thursday night after a single-vehicle accident that injured another on Sam Houston Parkway East in Houston’s Greater Hobby Area, reports Houston Chronicle.

Harris County Constable deputies responded to the scene near Telephone Road at approximately 10:00 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but authorities said the car collided with the exit ramp’s divider barricade.

One person died from their injuries at the scene, and another occupant suffered serious injuries and was rushed to an area hospital.

No further information has been made available at this time.
