One killed in crash on Gulf Fwy feeder road near Houston’s Southbelt

HOUSTON, TX — One person died Thursday afternoon after a vehicle collision on the Gulf Freeway in southeast Houston’s Southbelt/Ellington area, reports KHOU11.

The fatal accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the freeway’s feeder road near Fuqua Street shortly after 1:00 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash or how many vehicles were involved, but Houston Police confirmed one person was pronounced deceased.

No details on any other injuries were reported.

Multiple lanes on the freeway and the service road were shut down during the emergency response and investigation.
