One in critical condition following distracted driving crash on the North Freeway

CYPRESS, TX – One person is in critical condition following a distracting driving crash on the North Freeway this morning, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.
A distracted driver Southbound on the north freeway feeder ran the red light at FM 1960 W. He was struck by an SUV causing critical injuries to both he and his passenger. Driver of the SUV was not seriously injured. District 1 units conducting the investigation. pic.twitter.com/c1hLWDJy2I

Authorities say a distracted driving ran a red light at the North Freeway feeder road’s intersection with FM 1960 West. His vehicle was then struck by an oncoming SUV, and a passenger in his car was critically injured. The wreck was reported around 1:11 a.m.
The driver of the SUV did not sustain serious injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
