One dies from injuries from crash on West Grand Parkway North

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed and another was injured in a wreck on West Grand Parkway North on Friday, June 3, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The office reports that on John Thomas Jr. was driving a green 2018 Kawasaki XZ1400 near the 2700 block of West Grand Parkway North when he failed to maintain his speed and struck the cable barricade separating the north and southbound lanes. Both he and his passenger, Jahnell Thomas, were rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital via LifeFlight.
Thomas Jr. was declared dead by doctors on July 4. The case remains under investigation.
