One dead, one injured in possible DUI crash in Clear Lake

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed and another was injured in a car accident Saturday evening in Clear Lake that possibly involved intoxicated driving.
KTRK reports that the 6 p.m. accident occurred at the intersection of El Camino Real and Almond Brook Lane, in the 14200 block of El Camino Real.
A 27-year-old male driver of a Corvette was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree. His passenger, a 23-year-old woman, was declared dead at the scene of the crash. The driver was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver is possibly facing charges of intoxicated manslaughter.
The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.
