One dead in W Houston group home fire

HOUSTON, TX – A fire at a group home in west Houston this morning led to the death of one man, according to KHOU.
The incident happened near the intersection of High Star Drive and Gladewell Drive at about 5 a.m.
The home, which offers services to people with disabilities, had seven occupants when the blaze began.
A man in his 60s, who has not yet been publicly identified, did not make it out in time. The remaining members of the home were relocated either to another group home or to personal accommodations with family members.
Authorities continue to investigate the blaze at this time.
