One dead after car crashes into tree near Veterans Memorial Drive

HOUSTON, TX – One person is confirmed dead after a car crashed into a tree near Veterans Memorial Drive this morning, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office reports.
@HCSOTexas units responded to a one-car fatal crash at 10092 Veterans Memorial Dr., where it was reported a car struck a tree. The car had two occupants and one was confirmed deceased on scene. #HouNews pic.twitter.com/le4SMZ7MG6

The car reportedly struck a tree near 10092 Veterans Memorial Drive around 11:48 a.m. Two individuals were reported to be inside the vehicle at the time of the crash, and one of them was confirmed dead by emergency responders.
Identities of those involved have not been made available.
