SEALY, TX – The off-duty Houston Police Department officer killed in a wrong-way collision in Sealy in December was found to be intoxicated at the time of the accident, according to ABC 13.
Authorities say Gizelle Solorio was on I-10 in Sealy when she was, for unknown reasons, driving in the wrong lane and crashed into a tractor-trailer. She was declared dead at the scene.
The toxicology report conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office shows that Solorio had a blood alcohol level of 0.16 — twice the legal limit. She was also found to have an anti-depressant in her system.
