Odessa – High-Speed Chase Ended Up in Crash on Meteor Crater Rd

A driver refusing to pull over prompted a high-speed police chase on Meteor Crater Road, Tuesday night.
At around 8:10 p.m, an Ector County police officer attempted to pull over a white Camaro for driving recklessly. The driver, identified as 18-year-old Kevin Hernandez, refused to stop and deputies pursued the Camaro south on Meteor Crater Road. Hernandez then lost control of the vehicle which caused the car to overturn. The impact of the collision left Hernandez with unknown injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital and was later taken to the Ector County Jail.
No one else was injured, as per reports.
Police said that Hernandez initially evaded on foot but was later caught.
The crash remains under investigation.
