Odessa – Auto-Pedestrian Collision Kills Child on Highway 80

Odessa law enforcement officials have yet to release more information about a traffic accident involving pedestrians on Highway 80, Wednesday night.

According to initial reports, the incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. Local DPS troopers were dispatched on Highway 80 near Club Drive in response to a call reporting a crash. Further details surrounding the incident were not immediately disclosed but it was determined that two children were pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identification has not been released pending notification of their next of kin.

Authorities did not release information about the driver of the vehicle.

The crash is under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident should get in contact with the Odessa Police Department.
