Odessa – 1 Killed after a Major Car Accident on Kermit Highway

Odessa local police are investigating a vehicle collision on Kermit Highway, also known as Texas 302, last Monday.

Initial reports indicate that the incident took place along Texas Highway 302, near Farm to Market Road 1936. A gray Ford pickup truck had been traveling along the highway when it crashed into a sport utility vehicle. The Ford then drifted off the roadway and crashed into a fence.

An occupant in one of the vehicles sustained fatal injuries from the force of the impact. He later succumbed to his injuries, as per emergency crews.

No other injuries were reported.

Area investigators have yet to determine why the two cars collided with each other. No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
