HOUSTON, TX – A house was completely destroyed in northeast Houston last night, though luckily there were no reported injuries, according to KTRK.
The blaze was reported at a two-story house in the 8700 block of Leycrest Rd by neighbors who had seen fire from the building at about 10:30 p.m.
Due to the heavy flames and a downed electrical line in the yard of the home, firefighters had difficulty extinguishing the blaze. The fire went into the attic, which also caused the firefighters trouble, as they were forced to fight the flames from the ground instead of in two directions.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries from emergency officials have been reported at this time.
Houston arson teams are investigating the fire at this time.
