No charges filed in fatal pedestrian accident on Martin Luther King Boulevard

HOUSTON, TX – No charges have been filed in the fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Martin Luther King Boulevard yesterday, per the Houston Police Department.
Authorities say a 40-year-old man was attempting to cross near 6800 Martin Luther King Boulevard, not using a crosswalk. He was then hit by an oncoming Ford Focus. The incident occurred around 1:25 p.m.
After the accident, emergency responders rushed the man to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle, an unidentified female, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No charges have been filed.
