A Sunday police chase on Shady Hollow resulted in one death and several injuries, a local news source stated.

According to initial reports, a woman, identified as 33-year-old Abbey Lynn Houston, led deputies to a chase after getting involved in a firing incident at the 500 block of Shady Hollow. Houston then left the scene which prompted a brief high-speed pursuit with the Comal County police officers. However, ass Houston overtakes another vehicle, she ended up crashing into a Ford F-250 pickup truck that was traveling on the opposing lanes.

Houston was killed from the impact of the collision. All passengers from the pickup truck sustained injuries that were considered non-life threatening. They were rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment. No identification was released.

The crash is under investigation by the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Rangers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured victims of this unfortunate accident. We pray for their full recovery as we hope that the Comal County Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
