New Braunfels – Major Accident on Walnut Avenue

Two people were hurt following a head-on collision on North Walnut Avenue, Thursday afternoon, according to a local news source.
At around 6:30 p.m., New Braunfels local officials responded to a crash at the 1200 block of North Walnut Avenue. How the crash took place remains unclear at this time by police confirmed that a 1994 Honda Accord collided head-on with a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The driver of the Honda reportedly crossed the center line and onto the opposing lane, prompting the crash.
The impact of the collision injured the Wrangler driver who was identified only as a 47-year-old woman from Spring Branch. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was treated. The driver of the Honda, identified only as a 34-year-old man from New Braunfels, was rushed to Hays County hospital for treatment. Local paramedics said that he suffered from critical injuries.
The stretch of Walnut Avenue between Grandview Avenue and Woodland Avenue were closed for three hours while police investigated.
