Nederland – Port Neches Man Died in FM 366 Collision ID’d

Law enforcement officials have released the name of the driver who died after a fatal traffic accident on Farm to Market Road 366 near Port Neches.
The fatality was identified as Robert Duke, 52, of Port Neches.
According to initial investigation, the incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. at the 100 block of FM 366. A 2004 Ford pickup truck had been traveling along the eastbound lane when, for reasons that had not been determined, it drifted to the left and crashed into a construction vehicle.
The impact of the collision killed its driver, Robert Duke. Duke was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
No one else was injured.
The Nederland Police Department is still determining what caused Duke to veered onto the left hand shoulder of the road. An investigation is underway.
