Navasota – Woman Injured in Highway 6 Crash Identified

Navasota law enforcement officials have released the name of the victim injured in a car accident on Texas Highway 6 near Farm to Market Road 3090 last Monday.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred on FM 3090 when an 18-wheeler truck encountered a mechanical problem causing the driver to pull over to the side of the road. A few moments later, a passing vehicle that was entering the ramp struck the said truck. The impact of the collision injured the driver who was later identified as Amberly Gurka. Emergency crews provided Gurka with treatment and transported her to the nearest hospital for further medical attention. As per reports, Gurka sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the 18-wheeler was partially blocking the entrance ramp at the time of the crash. No charges have been filed at this time.
