Navasota – Cole Gordon,17, Died Following Early Saturday Morning Vehicle Accident

The Navasota Police Department has released the name of the teenage driver who died in a single-car collision on Highway 6, Saturday morning.
The fatality was identified as Cole Gordon, 17. Based on a preliminary investigation, Gordon was driving an undescribed vehicle along the southbound lane of Highway 6, four miles south of Navasota, when he lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. The teenage driver sustained significant injuries as a result of the crash. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared deceased by medical personnel.
An initial investigation reveals that Gordon may have fallen asleep behind the wheel which caused the car to go out of control.
