Multi-vehicle wreck shuts down SH-6 in both directions near SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A multi-vehicle collision late Thursday morning closed all northbound and southbound lanes on State Highway 6 near southwest Houston, according to Houston Transtar.

The accident happened at Westpark Tollway, north of the Presidio Square shopping center. It was verified by Houston Transtar at 11:12 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the event, but authorities indicated two vehicles were blocking the northbound lanes, and other vehicle appeared to be blocking the southbound lanes.

All main traffic lanes and both shoulders on both sides were completely blocked.

As of this writing, no information has been released regarding any significant injuries.
