Multi-vehicle crash blocks multiple lanes on IH-45 in north Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A multi-vehicle accident late Thursday morning closed multiple lanes and an exit ramp on North Freeway near Houston’s Independence Heights area, according to Houston TranStar.

The collision occurred on the northbound lanes before East Crosstimbers Street and was verified at 11:33 a.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but authorities indicated three vehicles were involved, impacting the right shoulder, right lane, center lane, and the offramp.

No further information has been released at this time.
