Multi-vehicle accident closes multiple lanes on IH-45 in north Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A multi-vehicle collision Wednesday morning blocked three lanes on the North Freeway in Houston’s Independence Heights area, according to Houston TranStar.

The crash happened on the southbound lanes before Exit 51 to Interstate Highway 610 North Loop. It was verified by Houston TranStar at 11:05 a.m.

Few details have been shared at this time, but authorities indicated three vehicles were involved, impacting the left lane and two center lanes.

As of this writing, no information has been released regarding any serious injuries.
