Multi-vehicle accident blocks shoulder on IH-45 NB in downtown Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A multi-vehicle collision late Tuesday morning blocked a right shoulder on the Gulf Freeway near Houston’s East Downtown neighborhood, according to Houston Transtar.

The crash happened on the northbound lanes (IH-45) before the Eastex Freeway (IH-69). It was verified by Houston Transtar at 10:44 a.m.

Details are limited, but authorities indicated three vehicles, including a heavy truck, were involved.

As of this writing, no further updates have been released regarding the parties involved or any serious injuries.
