Multi-vehicle accident blocks IH-610 EB offramp in south Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A multi-vehicle collision late Thursday morning closed an Interstate 610 South Loop exit ramp near south Houston’s Astrodome area, according to Houston Transtar.

The crash happened on the offramp from the southbound lanes of IH-610 to State Highway 288. It was verified by Houston Transtar at 11:08 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the event, but authorities indicated three vehicles were involved.

As of this writing, no updates have been released on any possible injuries.
