Motorcyclist killed in wrong-way collision on the Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist was killed in a wrong-way collision on the Gulf Freeway early this morning, KHOU 11 reports.
A driver of a Nissan SUV was traveling on the Gulf Freeway near Crosstimbers when they crashed into the motorcyclist, who was traveling in the wrong direction on the freeway. The driver of the car attempted to swerve out of the way but was not able to avoid hitting the victim.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. The unidentified motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.
Chargers are not expected to be filed.
