Motorcyclist killed in hit-and-run on the East Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist was killed in a tragic hit-and-run crash on the East Freeway on Saturday, KHOU 11 reports.
Two motorcyclists were traveling near 5598 East Freeway when a blue BMW sedan hit one of them. The hit rider was not seriously injured. After that initial crash, a black Chevrolet Tahoe struck and killed the other motorcyclist. He was later identified as Justin Ortiz, a 23-year-old male.
Authorities say evidence collected from the scene suggests that the victim was hit intentionally. If you have information about the incident, call the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
