Motorcyclist killed in Christmas Eve hit-and-run crash on Spring Cypress Rd

CYPRESS, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver involved in a fatal collision with a motorcyclist on Spring Cypress Road on Christmas Eve, according to KTRK.
The collision occurred at around 7:20 p.m., west of the Tomball Parkway in the 11700 block of Spring Cypress Road, after the driver of a white Nissan Altima made a U-turn.
The Nissan pulled in front of the motorcyclist, who was unable to stop in time, and the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Nissan then fled the scene.
The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash.
Police continue to search for the hit-and-run driver and vehicle, which likely has damage to its rear. The accident remains under investigation.
