KATY, TX – A motorcyclist was killed after hitting an oil slick left behind by a drunk driver early this morning, KHOU 11 reports.

According to the HCSO, the driver of a Ford Mustang hit a median near 2400 Greenhouse Road and the oil pan was ripped off from their vehicle. The driver continued on after the crash, leaving behind a trail of oil about a mile long on the road.

Later, a motorcyclist hit the oil slick around 2 a.m.,  causing the biker to lose control and crash into a ditch. He did not survive.

Another driver hit the motorcyclist’s bike, which was on the side of the road, after the initial crash and remained at the scene. The driver of the Mustang, which led to the motorcycle collision, was determined to be intoxicated and has since been charged with a DWI.
