Motorcyclist fatally injured in crash near Houston’s Willowbrook Mall

HOUSTON, TX — A 41-year-old man died Saturday afternoon after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on the Tomball Parkway service road near Willowbrook Mall in northwest Houston, according to Houston Police Department.

Authorities said the collision occurred in the 17200 block of the access road at approximately 3:00 p.m.

A preliminary investigation shows the man was riding a black Harley Davidson at high speed on the northbound road when he tried to make a lane change near the parkway’s entrance ramp. The motorcycle struck a curb between the ramp and the access road, which caused the vehicle to roll several times.

The rider was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest in critical condition. Authorities said he was later pronounced deceased.

No other injuries were reported in the event.

The case is being handled by HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division.
