Motorcyclist dies in accident on the Westheimer Parkway

KATY, TX – A motorcyclist died in an accident on the Westheimer Parkway on the morning of Friday, April 16, per the Houston Police Department.

According to authorities, a 27-year-old man was riding a black Yamaha motorcycle with another motorcyclist near 18400 Westheimer Parkway around 12:20 a.m.. The 27-year-old victim attempted to pass a white truck that was stopped in a moving lane of traffic. While attempting to pass the truck, the motorcyclist crashed into a nearby guardrail and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The driver of the truck did not remain at the scene of the accident. Investigators wish to speak to the driver of the truck — if you have information about the incident, contact the HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Divison at 713-247-4072.
