HARRIS COUNTY, TX — A man was killed Wednesday morning in a motorcycle accident along Farm to Market Road 2100 near Crosby, reports Houston Chronicle.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal crash happened in the 17100 block of FM 2100 at approximately 3:20 a.m.
A preliminary investigation shows the man was riding southbound in a Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he entered an area that was under construction, with one lane going in both directions. For unknown reasons, his motorcycle traveled off the roadway and struck a sign on the west side, which caused the rider to eject from the bike and into a nearby ditch.
Medics confirmed the victim died from his injuries at the scene.
Authorities have not released additional information on the circumstances behind the fatal crash.
