HOUSTON, TX — A man was killed Tuesday night in a motorcycle accident involving another vehicle on State Highway 6 in Houston’s George Bush Park/Eldridge area, reports KHOU11.

Houston police said the crash happened near Barker Oaks Drive at around 9:45 p.m.

A preliminary investigation shows the rider was speeding when his motorcycle collided with the passenger side of a car that was making a left turn. The force of the crash caused the car to spin into the opposite direction and threw the rider onto the ground several feet away.

The victim, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, was pronounced deceased shortly after, confirmed authorities.
