Motorcyclist dead after rear-ending vehicle on East Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist is dead after he collided with another vehicle on the East Freeway early this morning, according to KHOU.

The collision happened in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Beltway 8 at about 5:45 a.m. when motorcyclist Christopher Favela was reportedly speeding and weaving between lanes. His sports motorcycle then collided with the back of a car being driven by Stephanie Franco.

Favela was ejected from his motorcycle, and he died at the scene.

Franco was not hurt in the collision.
