Motorcyclist dead after crashing into pickup on Hwy 75 in Willis

WILLIS, TX (MONTGOMERY COUNTY) – A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with another vehicle on Highway 75 and I-45 in Willis yesterday afternoon, according to information from the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
The collision happened on Highway 75 near I-45 and Shepherd Hill Road at around 5 p.m., as a motorcyclist was headed northbound on Hwy 75 at what was reportedly a high rate of speed.
The operator failed to navigate a curve in the roadway, and then went into the southbound lanes of the highway, where he collided with the front of a GMC 1500 pickup truck.
The motorcyclist was ejected during the crash, and he and the vehicle landed over 100 yards from the impact point.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.
It is unclear if the other driver was hurt in the collision.
