Motorcyclist critically injured after being rear-ended by alleged drunk driver

CONROE, TX – A man was critically injured when he was rear-ended by a driver suspected of being under the influence late last night north of the Conroe area, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
The collision happened at around 10:15 p.m. as the female driver of a 2014 Plymouth Town & Country van was reportedly under the influence and going at a high rate of speed. Near the intersection of Willis Waukegan Road/FM 2432 Road and FM 1484 Road, the van collided with the back of a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 51-year-old man, was ejected from his vehicle. He hit the windshield of the van, and the impact sent the motorcycle onto the other side of the roadway.
The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital in Conroe for the treatment of severe, critical injuries.
The alleged drunk driver was taken in for a blood draw by law enforcement officials.
Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
