Motorcyclist airlifted after major crash on US-290 WB in Waller

HARRIS COUNTY, TX — One person was critically injured Friday morning in a motorcycle accident on U.S. Highway 290 near east Waller, reports Click2Houston.

The collision occurred on the westbound lanes near Binford Road and was first reported by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 7:39 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the wreck or whether other vehicles were involved, but authorities said the rider suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to a local hospital.

All westbound lanes in the area were shut down during the emergency response, and traffic was diverted through the service road.

No other details have been shared at this time, but an investigation was in progress.
