Moran – Single Car Collision Leaves 1 Dead on SH 6

A man was pronounced deceased after a fatal rollover accident on State Highway 6, Monday evening.
According to a preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, A 1999 Chevrolet Suburban was heading east on SH 6, just four miles southeast of Moran, when for yet unknown reasons, it drifted into the oncoming traffic. As the driver tried to overcorrect, he lost control of the vehicle causing it to overturn. It crashed into a fence and several trees near a barrow ditch before it came to rest.
The driver of the Chevrolet died as a result of the collision.
Meanwhile, four passengers in the vehicle sustained various injuries. They were all treated and released.
No identification has been released at this time.
The Moran Police Department is investigating the incident.
