Montgomery County – Woman Died Following Pedestrian Crash on FM 1485

A woman was pronounced deceased after getting hit by a car on Farm to Market Road 1485 in Montgomery County, Tuesday.

At approximately 6:00 a.m., police were requested on FM 1485 near Dorston after receiving a call reporting a car accident involving a pedestrian. Based on the initial report, a vehicle had been traveling along the roadway when it struck a woman who reportedly stepped into the middle of the road. The impact of the crash seriously injured the female pedestrian who later died at the scene. She was later identified as 63-year-old Sandra Lukas. Whether or not the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene remains unclear at this time. No one else was injured.

Area investigators have yet to determine the circumstances leading up to the accident.
