Montgomery County – One Injured Following Motorcycle Accident on US 59

A motorcycle rider was hospitalized after a crash on State Highway 242, Monday.

According to the initial investigation, a motorcycle had been traveling along US 59, near SH 242, when for reasons that had not yet been determined, it went out of control and crashed into a highway sign. Police said the rider lost control of the bike as he approaches an entrance ramp. The impact of the crash left the driver with serious injuries. Emergency crews immediately transported the rider to the nearest hospital where he was listed in critical condition. His identification has not yet been released pending notification of his next of kin.

No one else was injured.

The investigation is still in progress. Further details will be available soon.
