Mitchell County – Rollover Crash on Interstate 20 Leaves 1 Dead

A single-car crash on Interstate 20 took the life of a Loraine man, Monday morning.
At around 5:35 a.m., local DPS troopers received a notification about a crash on Interstate 20, just four miles west of Colorado City. According to the report, a pickup truck was seen traveling along the westbound lane of the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it veered off the roadway and overturned. The truck then came to rest on the side of the road. Its driver, who was identified only as a 72-year-old Loraine male resident, sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he later died of his injuries. His identification was withheld by authorities.
The Mitchell County local officials arrived at the scene to determine why the vehicle went off the roadway. The crash is still under investigation.
