Midtown – Police investigating a crash on Interstate 59

A two vehicle collision sent one person to a hospital on Interstate 59 near Texas 288, early Monday morning.
At around 2:30 a.m., local officers received a call reporting a car accident on I-59. As per the report, a pickup truck crashed into an SUV. The force of the impact caused the pickup truck to flip over.
A passenger in the pickup truck sustained injuries. He was later taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. No identification was released.
It remains unknown if occupants in the SUV suffered from any injury.
Authorities were called onto the scene to determine the cause of the crash. No charges have been filed as the investigation is underway.
