Midland – Two Died Following I-20 Collision

Midland law enforcement officials are investigating a car accident on Interstate 20 near mile marker 137, according to a local news source.
Just after 2:45 PM, local police and fire and rescue team were dispatched to I-20 to assist in a crash involving a semi-truck, garbage truck, and a pickup truck. The semi-truck was heading west when it struck the the left corner of the back of the garbage truck. As a result, the garbage truck was pushed towards the pickup truck that was in front of it, triggering a chain reaction. The garbage truck spun sideways before coming to rest.
The driver and passenger of the semi-truck suffered from major injuries and were pronounced dead by emergency crews who assisted in the crash. Their identities were withheld.
The two drivers were not hurt.
