Midland – Lorenzo Leon Died in Two-Car Crash on North Big Spring Street

Midland law enforcement officials have released the name of the victim who died in a fatal car accident on North Big Spring Street last Friday night.

The fatality was identified as Lorenzo Leon.

According to reports, Leon was driving a sports utility vehicle along the northbound lane of North Big Spring Street when, for yet unknown reasons, it crossed the center of the road and traveled through the southbound lane where it collided head-on with another car. The impact of the crash killed Leon instantly.

No one else was injured.

What caused the victim to cross the center line remains unknown at this time. However, police believed that alcohol may have played a role in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
