Midland – Fort Worth Man Killed, Three Injured in Major Crash on SH 349

Last Friday, a fatal vehicle accident on State Highway 349 caused the death of one person and injuries to three people, according to a local news source.

Police said the incident happened 13 miles south of Midland, just before 7:50 a.m. How the crash took place remains unclear at this time but authorities believed that a semi-truck and a Ford F-250 pickup truck were both heading north along SH 349 when they somehow collided with each other. Police added that the pickup was traveling a short distance behind the semi when it struck its side as the semi attempts to make a left turn.

A passenger in the pickup truck sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Its driver and two more occupants sustained non-life threatening injuries and were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Their identities were withheld at this time.
