Midland County – T-Bone Crash on SH 349 Leaves One Dead, 4 Others Injured

A major vehicle collision on State Highway 349 caused the death of one person and injuries to four others, Thursday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The incident took place at around 5:30 in the afternoon on SH 349 near County Road 60. Local authorities said that a Chevrolet pickup truck was facing west on CR 60 when an 18-wheeler truck struck its side. Based on a preliminary investigation, the Chevy was pulling out onto SH 349 when the crash took place.
DPS said that the driver of the pickup truck, identified only as a Cedar Hills man, died from the force of the impact. While the driver of the semi-truck and three more people were taken to a local hospital where they all received medical treatment. Fortunately, all of their injuries were considered minor.
