Midland County – Arturo Parra Vega Died in Collision on State Highway 349

Midland County law enforcement officials have released the name of the driver who died after a vehicle collision on State Highway 349 last Thursday.

The fatality was identified as Arturo Parra Vega, 52, of Cedar Hill, Texas.

According to initial reports, a Chevrolet pickup truck was heading west on West County Road 60 when it was t-boned by an 18-wheeler truck as it pulls out onto SH 349. The impact of the collision killed Vega instantly. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.

The driver of the semi-truck and three more passengers in the pickup truck were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. They all sustained minor injuries.

Local authorities did not mention which vehicle had the right of way. An investigation is underway.
