Melissa – 18-Wheeler Accident on Sam Rayburn

Last Friday, at least one person was pronounced deceased following a truck crash on Sam Rayburn Highway near Highway 5, a local news source reported.

At around 6:00 p.m., police were dispatched to Sam Rayburn to assist a vehicular accident involving a truck and a car. When they arrived at the scene, they found a car pinned under the cab of the truck. According to the initial investigation, an 18-wheeler truck collided with a car, for yet unknown reasons. One person sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by emergency crews. His identity has yet to be disclosed.

Melissa law enforcement officials are still conducting an investigation. No charges have been made as of this writing.
