Medics respond to major accident on Rankin Rd in north Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A serious vehicle collision was reported late Monday morning in north Houston’s Cranbrook Augusta neighborhood, according to City of Houston.

Houston police, firefighters, and EMS personnel responded to the scene at 198 Rankin Road, just west of the North Freeway, shortly after 11:00 a.m.

Details are limited, but authorities said a major crash resulted in an “EMS event,” indicating likely injuries to at least one person.

As of this writing, Houston police said no fatalities were reported.
